Virtual VPBank Hanoi Marathon Reveals Top 10 Running Clubs

Wrapping up the last leg of the Virtual VPBank Hanoi Marathon, 10 clubs with the best records based on the distances their members have conquered have been determined, in which TPR - Thong Nhat Park Runners seized the first place, having made an extraordinary victory.

Leaving behind the runner-up club by more than 300 km, TPR members made a total distance of 1,154.713 km after all the three legs of the race.

The Virtual VPBank Hanoi Marathon, an event of the VPBank Hanoi Marathon, one of Vietnam's leading professional races, was held between December 26, 2021 and January 2, 2022 for runners across Vietnam based on the “Heritage Race” free app connected to the Strava app.

Right after its December 26 debut, "Heritage Race" has undergone continuous improvements, with errors fixed in a timely fashion and a 24/7 support team in place, which all has brought multi-dimension emotions to runners.

Eligible activities are counted to join the Lucky Draw with gifts from sponsors at 8:30 p.m. on December 27, 2021, January 2 and January 3, 2022.

Overall, Heritage Race has recorded 1,253 eligible activities (runs) with a total distance of 18,862.857 km, more than 10 times the land road from Hanoi to Ho Chi Minh City.

The runners whose names are on the list of winners are kindly required to fully update their information: Full name, E-BIB, email, phone number, gift address and shirt size on the “Heritage Race” app.

The Organizing Committee will send an email to each winner and deliver the gift correctly to the registered address within 07 days.

The Virtual VPBank Hanoi Marathon organizers will organize more virtual runs in the coming time, with the improved app and funny and exciting mini game versions.   

*After the 3rd Lucky Draw session on January 3, the Organizing Committee has received a number of complaints over the performance of a winning runner and has started looking into the issue. As soon as specific results are made, the Organizing Committee will update right on the VPBank Hanoi Marathon's Facebook fan page. The committee will not disclose any details during the course of the investigation.

Held annually since 2018, the VPBank Hanoi Marathon has become Hanoi’s official race and won recognition to be a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) since 2019, with a running track standardized by AIMS experts and the Vietnam Athletics Federation. Runners’ results, in addition to be qualified for competing in the 31st SEA Games, are still recognized to qualify for the prestigious Boston Marathon. The VPBank Hanoi Marathon has joined the Age Group Ranking System of Abbott World Marathon Majors, counting from 2022.
