Unique Points On VPBank Hanoi Marathon 2022 Route
30/12/2024 - 11:22

All distances of the VPBank Hanoi Marathon 2022, Vietnam's leading professional race, share the Start line at Ba Kieu temple by the Lake of Returned Sword in the heart of the capital.

This 17th-century temple is the earliest place to worship the Mother of God built in Vietnam. Opposite is Ngoc Son Temple and The Huc Bridge, sacred cultural symbols of Hanoi.

The Race Organizing Committee (ROC) of the VPBank Hanoi Marathon 2022 hopes that these symbols will be a source of encouragement and support for runners to achieve their best performance and results.

The difference of this year's marathon is that the two Finish gates are not placed next to each other.

Runners competing for the 4.22-km and 10-km distances will reach the Finish line at 66 Trang Tien street; while runners of the distances of 21.097 km (Half Marathon) and 42.195 km (Full Marathon) will cross the Finish line at the traditional point of 73 Dinh Tien Hoang street, which is located next to the King Ly Thai To Monument.

In particular, the FM route will include all the five most special lakes in Hanoi: Lake of Returned Sword, Bay Mau Lake, Ba Mau Lake, West Lake and Truc Bach Lake. It will also be taking runners past places well-known throughout the country such as the Mausoleum of President Ho Chi Minh, Ba Dinh Square and the Imperial Citadel of Thang Long.

The VPBank Hanoi Marathon 2022 ROC wishes runners good health and solid training plans in order to experience the most beautiful running track in Hanoi in mid-autumn, the most beautiful weather of the year.
