ANNOUNCEMENT: Signing Up for VPBank Hanoi Marathon 2022 to Start April 2
Registration to compete in the two main categories of the VPBank Hanoi Marathon 2022, Vietnam's leading professional race, will be possible as of April 2.
With the race date set for October 16, 2022 when Hanoi enters autumn, the most beautiful season of the year in the capital, the VPBank Hanoi Marathon promises to be an unforgettable experience in this year's schedule of elite and non-elite runners at home and abroad.
Based on the number of runners reserved from the 2021 race, which has reached a record 10,000 registered runners, there will only be 1,000 slots for new registrations at the two distances of 21.097 km and 42.195 km to ensure the capacity of the running track and the Finish gate.
Registration will start at 00:01 on April 2, 2022 at the website: https://hanoi.vietnamheritagemarathon.com/en/.
Runners with the reserved right need to look up, update information (if any) and check their new Bib at the above address.

The running track starts from Ba Kieu temple, which was formed in the 17th century to be the earliest place in the country to worship Mother Goddesses. From here, runners will stroll along the capital's old street, passing several famous cultural heritage sites, making a round at West Lake before finishing the race at Hoan Kiem Lake.
The Race Organizing Committee of the VPBank Hanoi Marathon 2022 will reserve a separated Finish gate for the Mini marathon (4.2 km) and the 10-km categories on the nearby Trang Tien street. Runners competing in the distances of 21.097 km and 42.195 km will cross the Finish line at the traditional venue on Dinh Tien Hoang street.
Vietnam has lifted restrictions, opening the door to foreign tourism since March 15. Citizens from Belarus, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Norway, Russia, Spain, Sweden, the United Kingdom, Japan and South Korea can enter without a visa for the duration of their 15-day stay, regardless of their passport type or purpose of entry.

Held annually since 2018, the VPBank Hanoi Marathon has become Hanoi’s official race and won recognition to be a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) since 2019, with a running track standardized by AIMS experts and the Vietnam Athletics Federation. Runners’ results are recognized to qualify for the prestigious Boston Marathon. The VPBank Hanoi Marathon has joined the Age Group Ranking System of Abbott World Marathon Majors, counting from 2022.
