Quang Binh Runners Rise To Top Virtual VPBank Hanoi Marathon

Quang Binh Runners rose to the top of participating running clubs in the second stage of the Virtual VPBank Hanoi Marathon, from the 18th position held at the end of last year, and was honored along with 51 runners at the Lucky Draw on January 2, 2022.

The January 1 second stage of the virtual run, an event of the VPBank Hanoi Marathon which was based on the Heritage Race app, saw runners from 46 clubs across the country recorded 505 valid activities, bringing the total distance to 7,641.972 km.

They have made positive changes from the first leg, when runners from 37 clubs performed 400 valid workouts on a total stretch of more than 6,700 km on December 26, 2021, just three days after the launch of the Heritage Race app.

The app, developed by runners for both iOS and Android operating systems, has so far fixed most of the common errors. The number of track logs has risen and runners' queries decreased significantly.

Quang Binh Runners is a small club, with good connections among members who are of the same age, said runner Vo Xuan Que (Que Bo), who seized the second prize in the Full Marathon (42 km) category.

“In the first morning of the new year, we only intended to run half marathon, but encouraged by the team leader, we all increased our distances to FM,” Que told the Organizing Committee of the virtual run. "I'm really happy and appreciate sponsor Xtep for the valuable gifts to encourage runners."

A total of 51 runners won various prizes from the Lucky Draw, which was live streamed at the VPBank Hanoi Marathon's Facebook fan page at 8:30 p.m. on January 2. The draw was for runners having recorded valid activities on the first day of the New Year. The organizers use E-BIB granted to runners when they signed up for the program and connected the Strava app for the lucky draw.

The Organizing Committee will send an email to each winner and deliver the gift correctly to the registered address within 07 days.

The Virtual VPBank Hanoi Marathon will have more gifts for runners who have recorded valid runs on January 2, 2022 at the next Lucky Draw, live streamed the VPBank Hanoi Marathon's Facebook fan page at 20:30 on January 3, 2022.

The VPBank Hanoi Marathon will take place on March 6, 2022.
