"For A Strong Heart" Charity Fund - HANOI MARATHON
"For A Strong Heart" Charity Fund
The “For A Strong Heart” charity fund has been established in 2013 by the Hanoi Heart Hospital and operated jointly with the Vietnam Young Physicians Association.
The fund, coupling with donations from individuals and institutions, has been helping the Hospital bolster heart surgery for patients facing tough financial conditions.
Over the years, operating with the 3H criterion, namely "Head - Hand - Heart", the Hospital has screened, consulted and provided free treatment to children and poor people, detected cases of congenital heart disease and cardiovascular disease. It has also sponsored heart surgeries for 150 cases at a total cost of 7.5 billion Vietnamese dong.
In 2018, the "For a Strong Heart" received 50 million dong (nearly US$2,200) from the Organizing Committee of the Hanoi Marathon - Heritage Race to support disadvantaged children with cardiovascular disease to have more treatment opportunities.
