One Month Left To VPBank Hanoi Marathon Race Date March 6, 2022

 

The traditional Lunar New Year festival, known as Tet, is often an opportunity to reunite with family and meet relatives. Since it’s also the longest holiday of the year, people would leave work behind, relax, have fun and go around for Tet greetings.

However, runners didn't seem to be taking Tet holiday as track logs showing their runs in the Lunar New Year’s Mini-game poured in to the Race Organizing Committee (ROC) from the 1st day of the Lunar New Year. These track logs showing distances are not only beautiful numbers but also reflect extremely quality long-running exercises in both distance and speed, demonstrating runners' determination and serious training for the upcoming race.

Accompanying the runners, the VPBank Hanoi Marathon ROC also worked through Tet to complete preparations and plans to deal with the pandemic development as well as to consolidate staffing for all key positions.

All the preparations are aimed at making a colorful Race Day, filled with PRs and unforgettable experiences in the hearts of runners.

We wish you all good training and see you at the Start Line on March 6, 2022.

Held annually since 2018, the VPBank Hanoi Marathon has become Hanoi’s official race and won recognition to be a member of the Association of International Marathons and Distance Races (AIMS) since 2019, with a running track standardized by AIMS experts and the Vietnam Athletics Federation. Runners’ results, in addition to be qualified for competing in the 31st SEA Games, are still recognized to qualify for the prestigious Boston Marathon. The VPBank Hanoi Marathon has joined the Age Group Ranking System of Abbott World Marathon Majors, counting from 2022.
