An incident took place on October 15 morning involving the shortage of finisher’s medals for Hanoi Marathon - Heritage Race 2023's various distances.

First and foremost, the Organizing Committee of the Hanoi Marathon - Heritage Race 2023 would like to extend the sincerest apologies to all the runners for the above mentioned incident.

The Organizing Committee has immediately initiated a thorough investigation into all stages of preparation, transportation, and medal distribution to identify the exact cause of the incident.

Before making further announcements, the Organizing Committee recognizes that it is its committed responsibility for sending these medals to the runners by post as soon as possible after the race.

During the race day, there was also another incident involving a local resident who was out for exercise and experienced a cardiac arrest. The marathon’s Medical Team had promptly provided resuscitation, but unfortunately, the resident did not recover.

The Organizing Committee extends its deepest condolences to the family of the deceased.
